Milan Fashion Week had some heavy hitters in the Fashion industry. From Prada to Gucci, all contributing for the Fall 2010 collections.
D&G RTW Fall 2010- Ski & Pretty
D&G showed a lot of leg while in sportswear attire, complimented by big ski glasses and fur boots. The knitwear was heavy, with my favorite piece the under wire strapless top belted with a light lacy transparent skirt in red. The legs paired with them in bloomers of fur, floral to deep purplish brown silk, and even wool. The body suits, weather short and wool or long and spandex with winter prints in cool blue, worked & was dirty ! The collection went on and got clean, with a simple elegance in flowing tops, blouses, dresses and skirts in a white, and black scheme, combining feminine and masculine garments. The velvet blazers and vest gave a thrill to the continuation of transparency of the white.
Prada RTW Fall 2010- My Lovely Lady Lumps
Prada spoke of more than fashion with the Fall Ready-to-Wear 2010 collection. Mastering the definition of feminine beauty, that curves are to be embraced as models strutted the runway. Breasts pierced at a darted line and grabbed a lot of attention with even major ruffles. Pieces were tight at the waist and flared both to the top and bottom. A-line skirts were revamped and done well. Vinyl tan coats appealed to the eyes finding a modern bond. Prints were matched with boxes of assorted mesh colors, blacks, neutrals, and bolds. Accessories were interesting, with knee high school girl socks and retro redone glasses topped the beautifully done pointed flat arch curve heels. Prada took the Fashion of today to another stage.
Versace RTW Fall 2010- Ride in the Fast Lane
I stepped into a virtually vibrational world as Donatella Versace’s Fall collection took my eyes. Motorcross inspired with cutting edge strong shaped dresses of clean white, color blocked with brilliant blue and black, in demanding metallic colors of red, blues, yellows and blacks,cut out of short to dropping floor lengths, it was just filthy ! And when you are the Dirty Chic, that means AMAZING ! Beyond that, the motor cycle pants, knocked off my knickers. Colors stood out, theme mapped, now I am ready to hop on back, let me hair blow in the wind and sin.
