Last year when my fiancé proposed to me I was beyond surprised and happily shocked, but little did I know how fast time would fly by. As I delivered our Save the Dates thats when I realized SHIT just got REAL and I could not be more THRILLED.
As some of you might know and for those that don't, my fiancé and I sparked our romance at the river. Some may say Laughlin, AZ or technically on the Colorado river so how fitting is this photo setting, one might even say too fitting for our love story.
We had an overall idea of how we would want our save the dates to appear but a good end result is never guaranteed. Luckily ours came out beyond what I imagined. We found a photo online and it was of a couple and a tube as well, so thats where we technically got the idea. We definitely made adjustments to the photo to capture our style and make it our own.
Fun Fact: We aimed to take these photos at the River but we had no time to make a trip out there. So the location had to be determined the day of the photo shoot which ended up being Mothers Beach in Long Beach. Gus' sister Eve was nice enough to be our photographer for this session and she did such an excellent job, thank you!
I happen to love the outfit I chose for the shoot, which ended up being a dress from forever 21, imagine that and my docs. I wanted my outfit to balance out the photo because they are SAVE THE DATES, and my fiancé wanted to be naked. I did try to wear heels but I wanted to add a little more edge to the photo and the docs did the job.
I'm so glad I got to share some of the photos. I did not include the photo that is on our save the date either did I post the save the date itself. I will do that on Instagram so catch it there! This photo shoot really captures "dirty chic". Xoxo
