It is very clear that white has been a consistent trend through out all capital fashion weeks.  In a minimalist, flowing, or body-con white has been used even white on top of white creating clean layers. I believe designers represent freedom with this statement color. Fresh and young ideas emerge from our new spring color. So if you begin early…maybe try a white fur coat? We don’t believe in that fashion rule “no white after labor day” anymore.

The excitement of Mr. Alexander Wang‘s show did not end at Milk Studios on Saturdaynight. Wang arranged for an entire parking lot on 17th and 10th to become a live Carnival. While in line for the event a mother and daughter walked up to us asking how to enjoy the festivities, The Dirty Chic had to explain “This is for Alexander Wang, he is a fashion designer that is throwing a live carnival.” Everyone inside could say that jumping, bumping or throwing, it reminded them of the kid within (of course with many glasses of champagne). We even got a chance to see Wang party on stage with a performance by M.I.A. We all can say A.Wang continues to impress the fashion’s new generation with fun, modern, and accelerating ideas from clothing, accessories, to parties.

I will tell everyone my favorite designer of 2010 is Mr. Alexander Wang. His style is simplicity with the most modern edge you could get in American collections. As basic as sweat pants and a white tee, he makes it admirably chic. T by Alexander Wang billboards posted among the streets of New York give the city inspiration by Max Motta and Zoe Kravitz modeling and photographed by Daniel Jackson. His primary line is made for a woman to feel her inner sexuality bleed through the fabric. How could we not mention, the BAGS by the rising accessory designer of 2010 award by the CFDA? Check out A.Wang’s Fall 2010 video Ad Campaign featuring Abbey Lee. A-Wangzing!

The flat small hand or shoulder bags are  built tiny for such a big trend arising for Fall 2010. Designers infuse the classic chic with a modernized feminine sexuality this fall, bringing us the cutest little handbags. | BTW: Go vintage for these, I will have pics up soon with a true vintage-style buy from NYC.

The mid-town New York girl can get around SoHo and Chelsea with a sleek leather backpack carrying all essentials and more that she may need. A backpack can give a traveled vibe to her already trendy wardrobe. The dirty chic has fallen in love with the backpack scene, for school, for the daily, for a weekend, or for that grungy edge. | BTW: Very unisex!

Stuff your bag…Go ahead!
